Overview

Lmx1b is widely expressed in the developing mouse embryo, including limbs, eyes, kidneys, and cranial mesenchyme. In the developing CNS, Lmx1b is expressed in the isthmus, serotonergic and dopaminergic neurons in the hindbrain and the midbrain, the roof plate, and a subset of inerneurons in the spinal cord[1]. In the adult mouse brain, Lmx1b is expressed in the hypothalamus, midbrain, and in the hindbrain[2].
